Gameday Clinic Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I only attend the clinic (and not the game)?
Gameday Clinics are linked to that day's game.  Consider it another way of buying a ticket, only with the added bonus of having your child participate in a special on-court clinic beforehand.

All participants, including anyone accompanying the child into the clinic, are required to have a ticket to that night's game.

I attended Summer Camp and have a ticket code - can I use it towards a Gameday Clinic?
No, sorry - you cannot use Jr. Wizards Summer Camp ticket codes towards the purchase of a Gameday Clinic.

Can my child bring a backpack?
Unfortunately no.  Please see our updated bag policy;

•  Luggage, roller bags, hard-sided bags/briefcases and bags larger than 14” long, 14” tall, and 6” wide are prohibited at Capital One Arena or Entertainment and Sports Arena.

•  Diaper bags (if the adult is accompanied by a small child) and medical bags will be permitted after being searched.

•  PLEASE NOTE, backpacks (regardless of size) are prohibited.

Click Here for Capital One Arena Bag Policy

There are lockers located outside the arena on 6th Street NW where you can store bags for a small fee.

Where do I pick up my game tickets?
Game tickets will be emailed to the address used at the point of registration within 48 hours of the game.

What Should My Child Wear?
Your child should wear athletic clothing - preferably Wizards gear!  They will receive a t-shirt at check in - and they are highly encouraged to wear the t-shirt for the clinic. Please do not wear jeans or other non-athletic apparel.

ALL participants must be wearing rubber soled athletic sneakers - with ZERO exceptions. Anyone wearing improper footwear - sandals, Crocs, boots, etc. - will be denied access to the game court. Again - there are NO EXCEPTIONS to the sneaker rule.

My plans changed - can I get a refund?
Because these clinics are tied to a game ticket, there are no refunds if you need to miss the clinic.

In rare circumstances (i.e. medical) we will consider a partial credit towards a future Jr. Wizards event for the clinic portion of the event. Tickets, unfortunately, are completely non refundable.

All game tickets are transferable once they are loaded into your account.

In the event of a conflict that prevents your child from attending, a friend/sibling may take your child's place - provided that we are notified within 24 hours of the event.

Where do we enter the arena?
Instructions on where to enter the arena will be emailed to you the week of the event.

Will my child meet a Wizards player?
For early access clinic participants will be seated in the section adjacent to the tunnel leading to the Wizards locker room. Because of the location, it is possible that select Wizards players, coaches, executives or on-air talent will stop and say hello to the clinic participants.

We do not guarantee who will stop by, or if anyone will stop by at all - nor do we guarantee that anyone/everyone will receive an autograph.

The decision to stop and meet with the participants is at the sole discretion of the player/coach/talent.

Can we sit together with another family who is attending the same clinic?

You may request that your tickets are placed together with another family during the registration process.

While our Group Sales team will do their very best to accommodate all requests,  groupings with other families are not guaranteed - especially for high demand games. If there are any issues honoring your ticket grouping request, a group sales representative will reach out to you to discuss options.

Tickets purchased within a single family registration are guaranteed to be seated together.

Can I bring my entire team / organization / group?
You may - however we do not hold slots for groups for these events, and there is no group discount available. All Gameday Clinic registrations are first come, first serve.  When the event is sold out - it's sold out.

If you would like to inquire about a private clinic for your group or youth organization prior to an upcoming Wizards/Mystics home game, please email us at juniorwizards@monumentalsports.com

How will I know when new Gameday Clinics go on sale?
Gameday Clinics are first announced on our Jr. Wizards social media channels - @JrWizards on Twitter & Instagram, and on our team channels - @washwizards, @washmystics. We highly recommend you follow these channels to stay up to date on upcoming camps, clinics and events.

Notification will go out via email blast following the initial announcement if needed.  Clinics for the 2022-23 Wizards season have sold out in less than 24 hours from announcement.

My child really wants to attend a sold out clinic but I missed the registration - can I be put on a wait list?

Sorry, there are no wait lists for Gameday Clinics.
